Mr. Carlos Urueta
PE - Athletic Director Mr. Urueta was born in Los Angeles and was raised in El Sereno. He graduated from California State University with a Baccalaureate Degree in Sociology. He has been employed as a Los Angeles County Children's Social Worker for over 10 years and is currently Supervising a Unit that specializes in finding connections for children who are in foster care. He and his wife Shawn Prokopec have two children attending All Souls School and are one of the original families to have registered at All Souls. Mr. Urueta is involved in the Family Guild and is currently on the gardening committee, the Mosaic committee as well as being the Communications Director for the All Souls Dads' Club. Mr. Urueta enjoys spending time with all the children at All Souls and especially gets a kick out of giving the children high fives when they call out, "Hey Mr.C!" |
Mr. Jerry Yslas
Music Mr. Yslas is a California native and resident of Montebello. He is the Director of Music at All Souls Church and this is his second year as Music/Liturgy teacher at All Souls World Language Catholic School. He also serves the communities of Divine Savior in Los Angeles, All Saints in Los Angeles, and St. Madeleine’s in Pomona. Mr. Yslas is a graduate of Cal State University Los Angeles and has been teaching music within the Archdiocese of Los Angeles since 2005. |
Ms. Jewel Gui
Art Teacher Meet Ms. Jewel, a passionate educator who has dedicated her life to shaping young minds. From a young age, Ms. Jewel knew she had a special love for children, and her parents encouraged her to pursue a career as a pediatrician. However, Ms. Jewel soon realized that her true passion lay in art, which had always been a prominent part of her life, other than God. After graduating with a B.A. in Studio Art from California State University, Los Angeles, Ms. Jewel felt called to use her talents to teach the next generation of leaders. She believes that art is an essential tool for unlocking creativity, building confidence, and fostering self-expression in young learners. With a deep commitment to her students' success, Ms. Jewel approaches each day with enthusiasm, compassion, and a dedication to making a positive impact. |
