What will happen to the existing buildings?
The existing buildings will continue to house classes and activities. The new facility is needed to provide the space necessary for the continued growth of the school and its programs.
How fast is the School growing?
Our school has already outgrown the classroom space available. As the only two strand (Spanish-English, Mandarin-English) Catholic dual-language school in the country, an education at All Souls is in high demand. We have exceeded the capacity of our current spaces. We are currently using modular buildings as a temporary solution for two classrooms, and more are coming. We expect the enrollment to grow to 460 students in the next several years.
How long will the expansion take?
Once construction begins it is estimated that the building will be completed within 18 months. Every family will have the opportunity to leave a legacy for future students.
How much is the total cost of the project?
The total cost of the project is expected to be $6.75 million. As a result of the generosity of Shea Family Charities in collaboration with several other lead donors, All Souls World Language School will be responsible for $1.8 million in fundraising.
Why do we all need to participate in raising funds?
The new facility will become a vibrant part of our campus and will be used every day by students, parents and faculty. While we have generous donations to help us ensure the facility is completed, we must demonstrate a collective good-faith effort by engaging all of our families, alumni, friends, and community members to participate in funding the new facility.
How will All Souls raise the funds needed?
All Souls will be conducting a capital campaign, seeking pledge commitments from all interested in supporting a unique two-strand, Catholic dual-language immersion school. We are seeking gifts at all levels to ensure we can reach our goal of $1.8 million.
What is the parish’s role in this campaign?
The parish has been involved in the planning for the new facility and has enabled the School to utilize spaces across campus while waiting for modular buildings.
Will the School be able to sustain the operational costs of the new facility?
The School anticipates covering operational costs through the increased number of students as well as continuing yearly Family Guild fundraising programs and events for the School.
Why are we asked to consider a pledge above and beyond our current giving?
The new facility is a project above and beyond the current scope of educating our children. Just as those who came before us left us the buildings we use every day, we can leave a legacy for future generations of students with this new facility.
Is our gift tax deductible?
Yes. All Souls World Language Catholic School is a 501(c)3 organization. Gifts to the campaign are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.
What happens if our situation changes and we cannot complete our pledge?
We understand situations may change. If your situation changes, please contact the school office and we will be happy to discuss modifications to your pledge.
