Ms. Marcelina "Marcy" GutieRuiz
TK/K English for Spanish strand Ms. GutieRuiz was born and raised in East Los Angeles. She comes with a strong background in education and family. She often says her greatest accomplishment is raising her five children strongly rooted in education. Ms. Camila Prats
TK/K English for Mandarin strand Miss Prats’ family is from Argentina and she speaks Spanish fluently. Every summer, She travels to Mexico with her church to participate in mission/service activities. During her time at Loyola Marymount, Miss Prats focused on various approaches to support a diverse group of learners, specifically in a dual immersion program. Before arriving at All Souls this year, Miss Prats spent time teaching in a dual language public as well as a STEM school.

Mrs. Catherine Moulding
1st-2nd Grade English Mrs. Moulding is entering her 25th year of teaching. Her teaching career includes experience in both Catholic and public schools. Her experience spans grades 1-7. Currently she loves her work with emergent readers and writers in grades one and two. Mrs. Moulding is passionate about literacy for all students. She recently took a development class through Arizona State University on Sustainability and has developed a keen interest in ways to take care of the Earth. She also tutors students of all ages in the Pasadena area. She and her husband Chris live in Pasadena, and enjoy spending time with family and traveling. She dotes on her granddaughter, Clare, who was born in January.

Ms. Melissa Rivas
1st and 2nd Grade English Ms. Rivas was born and raised in Los Angeles. Growing up, she attended both public and Catholic schools, and really values a Catholic education. Her experience in education includes volunteering as a tutor at her local library, and teaching English to a group of Chinese students during a summer program in Jinhua, Zhejiang, China. She is also an AmeriCorps graduate of City Year Los Angeles, where she tutored and mentored elementary students in South Los Angeles.

Ms. America Molgado
3rd Grade English Teacher Hi! My name is America Molgado and I am grateful to be joining the staff at All Souls Catholic School. I have worked with children for five years and I am excited to continue my experience. I graduated from the University of California, Riverside with a degree in Sociology/Law and Society and want to further my education with a master’s in Child and Adolescent Psychology. Her teaching career has been in Catholic and private schools, and her experience ranges from preschool-age, to elementary grades (K-5), and High School Spanish Language (I,II,III, and AP). She has published Spanish I Curriculum for National Network of Digital Schools. She is very passionate about education and student learning. She believes that all students are capable of becoming lifelong learners. As an active member of her parish community, she is a Lector and Eucharistic Minister. Mr. Matthew Castaneda
5th-8th Grade Math and Science Mr. Castaneda was born and raised in the San Gabriel Valley. Attending both private and public school including Bishop Amat, he aligns with the philosophy and teaching of Catholic education. A former notable standout athlete at Bishop Amat, Los Altos and Whittier College, Mr. Castaneda has worked in education since his undergraduate days of child development while at Whittier. From a teachers aide, college tour guide, substitute teacher, admissions director, marketing director, athletic director, and international program coordinator, Mr. Castaneda's passion for education and experiences have taken him many places including visiting educators and schools abroad in Colombia, Vietnam, Moscow, Istanbul, & Taiwan. He is currently finishing up his last course for his M.Ed and looking to start his Ed.D in the next year. Ms. Natalie Peterman
5th-8th English Language Arts Teacher Ms. Peterman grew up in Southern California and developed a passion for languages in high school. Her professional background is comprised of years learning and teaching languages both abroad and in Los Angeles. She has studied in China and Perú and lived in China and the Philippines. Outside of the classroom, she enjoys hiking and participating in her church community.

Mrs. Brittaney Morris
TK/K English Instructional Aide Mrs. Morris grew up in the San Gabriel Valley area where she attended public school. Since she was in first grade, she knew that she wanted to work with children. She would volunteer in summer school classrooms every year until she turned eighteen. Mrs. Morris has over ten years of professional experience working with children. Ranging from an Instructional Aide, Youth Sports Coach, Lead Preschool Teacher, Long Term Substitute Teacher, After School Program Instructor, Tutor, and Summer Day Camp Lead. She currently splits her time here at AllSouls and as a Program Lead for an after school program. In her spare time, she likes spending time with her husband and traveling.
Ms. Karla Ramirez
1-2nd Instructional Aide Ms. Ramirez started at All Souls as part of the Pather Care staff in 2019 then transitioned into the IA position she now holds. Ms. Ramirez has a B.A. in Psychology and Chicana/o Latina/o studies from Loyola Marymount University. She has worked and volunteered with children for almost 10 years now, in settings such as summer camps, church youth groups, Confirmation classes, and both public and private schools. Working and helping children is her passion, and she is grateful to be part of the All Souls community. |

Ms. Francine Mireles
3-4th English Instructional Aide Ms. Mireles was born and raised in the San Gabriel Valley, and attended Catholic school through the 12th grade. Her experience in education began as an undergraduate student at Pitzer College where she worked with international students in the Office of Study Abroad. There she immersed herself in various activities related to language and cross-cultural learning including working as a discussion group leader for Japanese exchange students, and studying abroad in China and Japan. After graduation, she returned to both countries to continue her studies -- first, to Kobe, Japan for a summer course in multiculturalism and cross-cultural communication, and then to Harbin and Beijing, China to complete a Critical Language Enhancement Award and a Fulbright Scholarship. While in Beijing, Ms. Mireles volunteered her time teaching English to local children. This experience started her on her path in language teaching, and eventually led her back to teach EFL for five years in Beijing, Zhejiang, and Shanghai. She lived in China on and off for ten years. Additional experience includes working as a TA in the 1st grade Mandarin language classroom at City Terrace Elementary and serving as a Mandarin language tutor for level I and II Mandarin language students at East Los Angeles College (ELAC). Currently, Ms. Mireles divides her time as an ESL Instructor at a local college, and as an Instructional Aide at All Souls World Languages Catholic School. She feels blessed to be a part of such a progressive and dynamic school community.
